Old Navy Review

When I saw that Old Navy was having a 20% off sale in store, I decided to stop by. I don't usually have much luck there (something to do with their proportions, nothing ever looks right), but I had my eye on a particular cinch-tie workout hoodie. Most of their items were on sale (although not ALL women's items, as advertised), and I also stopped by the clearance rack to see if any of the fall/winter items I'd had my eye on were reduced. If you like Old Navy clothing, I recommend stopping by now and scoping out the sales.

Warning: A TON OF FITTING ROOM PICTURES

Women's Lightweight Tie-Waist Jacket here. The "Basswood Brown" color was on sale for $20 in store. This one was full price at $39.99. I like the color and fit, although I noticed the tie-waist did accentuate the hips quite a bit. I passed because this is too lightweight for my needs.

This was my favorite find! I can't find this online anymore, but it was on clearance in store for $14.50! It has a removable shearling collar and is 51% wool. The XS was a little bit wide on me but it was fully lined and very warm, so I couldn't pass it up. It will have to fulfill my "military green" lust until I find the right utility jacket.

NEXT UP:

Rockstar Zip pocket pant in Size 0 here on sale for $32.00. These did not fit me right, and I couldn't tell if they were supposed to be super slim or have a cargo fit (they're super slim on the model). I wanted to love these so badly but I couldn't.

These Velvet Print Jeans were originally $36.94 on clearance for $9.97 (similar for $9.97 here). I'm wearing a size 2 here and they fit perfectly, proof that their sizing is totally inconsistent. On a whim a few months ago I donated all my colored denim, thinking I was over the trend, and I've been missing a little denim drama ever since. Old Navy pants fit a little funky, bunching in odd places, which is a testament to their quality, but I went with these because I liked the subtle print and the fit enough.

This Cable Knit Crew Sweater is available for $27.97 online but was $8.49 in store! I'm wearing an x-small here, and I really liked the slim fit and the nice cable detail. It felt like very good quality, so I snatched it up.

This Honeycomb-Knit Sweater is $12.97 online and was $10.97 in store. I definitely didn't need two black sweaters, but I'd wanted this one since before Thanksgiving, when it was still full price. So yes, I bought TWO black knit sweaters, and NO, I'm not ashamed. :) This too is a nice thick knit.

Get the Cinch-Tie Hoodie here. It's $29.94 online but was on sale for $20 in store. This is what I had my eye on in black (left) and gray (right). There's something about a cinch-tie that I just can't resist (although the hood looks totally ridiculous on). I wouldn't say this looks very luxe, but for the price, I went for it. I wound up with the black as it goes with more in my workout wardrobe.

Get this denim jacket here. It was $32.94 in store and online, so it doesn't appear to be on sale. I tried this in an x-small, and it felt too boxy and looked matronly on me. Not what I was looking for. Better suited for someone with a longer torso so that it will actually have a cropped effect.

This active top was pretty in person, with a really interesting gray grain, but was very blah on me, so I passed. Here it is on sale for $12.00 online.

Not sure what this was called, but it was on clearance for $5. This would be a nice leisure top, and felt like decent quality, but I didn't have any use for it, so I passed.

In all, I wound up with one coat, two sweaters, a workout jacket, and a pair of jeans for $70! I feel very accomplished! So sorry for the barrage of dressing room photos, and happy shopping!
